Baltic Environmental Forum Lithuania (BEF) has carried out a project about the new EU chemical policy – REACH. As our previous activities in REACH have shown there is still a lack of deeper understanding on upcoming new requirements in industry, which will be legitimated on the 1st
of Juny with the REACH regulation coming into force. Therefore industry remains the main target group of our further activities with the aim not only explain basic principles on REACH, but also inform different groups of industry (manufacturers, importers, downstream users) about particular steps and support them.

Currently institutions in the EU Member States are intensively preparing new chemical legislation framework, so-called REACH, concerning management of chemicals - reglament concerning chemicals registration, assessment, authorization and limitation. This projects aims on awareness raising about REACH to the public and related stakeholders.
