The goal of this project was to do preparation work needed to plan and organize the main project. The main project will aim for implementing requirements of EU Bird and Habitats Directives and biodiversity convention in agricultural areas. Economic analysis was made during preparation project. It’s purpose was to evaluate the benefit and competitiveness of agri-environmental measures compared to traditional farming practice. Agri-environmental measures currently are not popular among farmers, and this effects negatively valuable and globally or in EU protected habitats and species which depend on extensive farming.
During this project the expertise of agri-environmental measures was gained from Kingdom of Norway. A business trip for communicating with potential partners of main project was organized.
